Wojciech Odrobina Types of Infraestructure

Wojciech Odrobina The architecture in Infrastructures

Although, in broad terms, infrastructure is the "set of elements or services that are considered necessary for the creation and operation of any organization"

when we designate works under that label, for this post I want refer to those great works that we usually associate with the word infrastructure that is, those constructions that strongly determine how we live, but which are in the background of our attention: we only notice them when they fail. Furthermore, unlike most other constructions, infrastructures are not necessarily urban

The infrastructure is about large structures built by teams of hundreds of professionals that allow transportation, energy, drinking water and communications in cities and large cities.

The infrastructure has a purpose, intelligent and of social and economic expansion; it is key to the prosperity of a country or region. Relevant construction companies carry out engineering, procurement, construction and project management worldwide.

Transport infrastructure

The transport infrastructure is made up of road systems, railway networks, the system for air transport and the port system. The construction of roads, highways and bridges is required.

It is the development of the main highways and interchange channels (tunnels and others), new links with the main highways, reconstruction of existing systems under operating conditions. Traffic engineering intervenes among other specialties.

Aviation infrastructure:

Infrastructure for aircraft takeoff and landing, passenger logistics and baggage management. These are airports, control towers, hangars, airstrips and take-offs.

Port and shipping infrastructure

Ports and marinas are essential elements of a regional economy. Environmental, social, financial and economic elements are also key factors in master infrastructure planning. The idea is to ensure that the end result is sustainable and commercially viable. Developing companies are familiar with macroeconomic trends affecting port operations.

Urban infrastructure

Large-scale urban development projects range from free trade zones to entire cities that include the design and development of roads and infrastructure, public services, communications, and residential areas

water infrastructure

The water infrastructure is made up of structures for the transfer, provision and storage of water. It deals with the construction of engineering works for the water supply and sanitation services of a city or region.

Touristic infrastructure

Constructions oriented to contain tourism. Venues for exhibitions and tourism management.

Social infrastructure

Theme parks, soccer stadiums and other sports, cultural centers. Building infrastructure.
